“Brian, did a great job of helping us feel comfortable and respected and kept the class interesting and professional. Safety was stressed and expected including how we handled our firearms which he stated that we would be also rated for our safe handling as well as clearing malfunctions and marksmanship. I do want to suggest that in regard to the new 8 hour training requirement; Brian's assumption that the attendees didn't want to do the class as now required, I related to it as a good opportunity to learn more about California laws and to be on the lookout for shooting tips and tactics. More of that would be good as I'd wager that many of the people who will be taking the renewal class, likely don't get much formal training, ie. more instructional material could be added, like clearing the different types of malfunctions and the like.”

As a "old school" Air Force special warfare (TACP) Veteran and for the last 32 years as a locomotive machinist for a major class 1 railroad. I've seen a lot of class room time, this was without question one of the best traning days I've had. Brian is well spoken easy to understand and kept the entire class engaged all day. Subject matter was current, up to date, easy to understand and follow.

This time a new instructor, very well mannered and have been in different capacities with the SBSD that is a good sign . Presentation was great, had many examples of subjects and especially the training glock pistol with the laser, a great tool for practice. Overall, enjoyed it and had good range practice.
